At NewPort Dry Deck Inc., we’ve always believed that a great deck should do more than look good — it should survive the wet, rainy winters of the Lower Mainland and still look beautiful years later. That’s why we were thrilled (and honestly a little proud) to receive a letter from RenovationFind letting us know that we made their list of ‘the best in Vancouver’. The following three Renovation Find articles feature NewPort Dry Deck as #1 of 10 best deck contractors in their recent guides for Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Burnaby.
- The 10 Best Deck Contractors in Port Moody
- 10 Best Deck Contractors in Coquitlam
- 10 Best Deck Contractors in Burnaby
Being recognized across three separate communities in the Tri-Cities area feels like validation of everything we’ve built over the past 14 years: honest work, durable solutions, and taking care of our neighbours.
What RenovationFind Looked For
RenovationFind doesn’t just pick names at random. They only consider certified contractors who pass strict background checks for licensing, insurance, and WCB coverage. They also review real customer feedback, communication quality, fair pricing, and the ability to deliver practical, long-lasting results.
In all three articles, our team stood out for our specialization in waterproof deck systems — something that matters hugely here on the West Coast.
Why Waterproofing Matters in Coquitlam, Port Moody & Burnaby
If you’ve lived in the Lower Mainland for any length of time, you know the frustration: traditional decks start leaking, rotting, or looking tired after just a few years. Many homeowners end up replacing their decks far too often.
That’s exactly why we became obsessed with OmegaDeck Polyurethane Coatings. This advanced system creates a seamless, fully waterproof membrane that protects the structure underneath while giving you a beautiful, low-maintenance walking surface. Our clients regularly enjoy decks that still look brand new after 10–15 years — and we back the coating with a 20-year warranty.
Whether you need a brand-new composite deck, a full waterproof resurfacing of an existing structure, or repairs to railings, stairs, and fascia, we design every project to handle our wet climate instead of fighting it.
Real Words from Real Neighbours
We’re especially grateful that RenovationFind highlighted feedback from our satisfied clients. Here are a few examples:
“We just had our 25-year-old vinyl deck surface replaced last week by NewPort Dry Deck. Lovance and his team worked efficiently and carefully… The deck looks GREAT now, and we appreciate the increased durability and improved deck drainage.”
— Laura, Port Moody“We had Newport come and redo our decks in 2022… It is now almost 2026, we live in a float home and these decks stand up against the elements and stay looking brand new. I highly recommend.”
— Crystal, Coquitlam area“They were a pleasure to work with and provided clear communication throughout the process… We are very happy with the new deck (it’s beautiful!) and would not hesitate to recommend them.”
— Allison, Burnaby
These kinds of reviews mean everything to us because they show the real difference a properly waterproofed deck can make.
